The New Franklin R-1 School Board approved the purchase of equipment and gave a update on change orders for building projects during its regular-session meeting on Wednesday, February 15.
Superintendent David Haggard says one change order is for the project to be fixed according to regulation code.
This project is scheduled to begin once the change order is approved at a future meeting.
In other business, the board was presented with bids for an ice machine and a water softener that broke down and needed to be replaced. The ice machine bids were from Ford Hotel Supply, of St. Louis, for $2,665 and $3,070, respectively. The bids for the water softener were from Culligan Water Conditioning, of Columbia, were $2,886.40 and $3,070.10.
After a discussion, the board approved the low bid for each item.
