AREA EMERGENCY PERSONNEL RESPOND TO ROLLOVER TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN MARSHALL

Area emergency personnel responded to a rollover traffic accident in Marshall on Monday.

According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, at 7:52 a.m., officers with assistance from Marshall Fire and Saline County ambulance, responded to a report of a vehicle accident in the 800 block of North Miami Street.

Upon arrival, officers reportedly observed a Chevrolet Trailblazer overturned in a concrete ditch with damage to all sides of the vehicle, as well as noticeable leaking fluids.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 38-year-old Brianne Canady, of Marshall, who reportedly was on a cell phone traveling northbound and allegedly was veering towards another vehicle. The driver of another northbound vehicle allegedly had to speed up to avoid being hit, where Canaday’s vehicle reportedly traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Canaday reportedly was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment of injures. No other injures were reported.
