SWEET SPRINGS MAYOR UPDATES ALDERMEN ON PROGRESS OF UPDATING ORDINANCES, CODES

During its meeting on Monday, November 13, Mayor Dee Friel updated the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen on the progress of getting the city’s codes and ordinances updated.

Friel said a representative from General Code came to pore over the city’s books recently.

Friel also said she’s had several residents request a street light be installed at the corner of Locust and Johnson. She said she will need to check with KCP&L to see if that can be accomplished.

Alderman Larry Looney said several street lights have not been replaced by KCP&L in recent months.

Friel said she will need to know the locations and check into that situation when she talks to KCP&L.
