A couple of community forums are on the calendar relating to the Fayette R-3 School District to provide information and focus on Proposition K for the Municipal Election on April 3.
According to a release from the district, the first forum is scheduled to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, and the second on Tuesday, March 20, in advance of the candidate forum, in the FHS library.
At its meeting this week, the school board also gave the green light to a stipend of two percent or $630 to be paid to the assistant marching band director.
In other news, the board approved accepting a $1,000 donation from the First Christian Church Endowment Fund for the Parents as Teachers Program; and several grant applications to be submitted, including a $10,000 Monsanto Grant for math and science.
