A Sedalia man faces two felony charges after he allegedly was selling illegal drugs in a protected location last week in Pettis County.
According to a probable-cause statement, on April 19, Sedalia Police officers were informed of alleged drug activity at a park near West Main Street and South Lamine Avenue. Upon arrival, officers reportedly found 45-year-old Randy Thomas in a vehicle the informant described as where he allegedly received methamphetamine. Officers reportedly found two baggies in the vehicle, one containing methamphetamine and the other marijuana, with each weighing about 2 grams.
Online court documents say Thomas has been charged with a Class A Felony for Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location and a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, as well as a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Thomas’ initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
