A Warrensburg teen has been charged with felonies for allegedly possessing a stolen firearm during a traffic stop earlier this month in Lafayette County.
A probable-cause statement says on April 18, Lafayette County deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle reportedly with improper license plate registration. A passenger, 19-year-old Sebastian Arnall, reportedly was found to be in possession of a firearm after a search of his person. Arnall reportedly told authorities he was loaned the firearm from a family member. Deputies contacted the family member who said Arnall was a relative, but stated he did not have permission to have the firearm nor be in the room where it was stored.
Online court documents say Arnall has been charged with two Class D Felonies for Burglary in the Second Degree and Stealing of a Firearm. Bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Arnall was formally arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty on April 19, and his caused was continued with a case hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
