During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, June 12, Northern District Commissioner Richard Clemens said U.S. Flags will be placed on the courthouse grounds and elsewhere in Marshall on Thursday, June 14.

In other news from the meeting, the commissioners approved the hiring of Casey Dean as a full-time employee in the communications division at the sheriff’s department and Nina Foster for a part-time position in the Re-Assessment Office. Foster started work on June 12 and Dean’s tenure is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 18.
The commissioners also approved 36 liquor licenses.
