Lexington fire fighters were called out to douse a structure blaze on Sunday, June 17.
According to a spokesperson at the department, fire fighters were toned out at 12:42 p.m. to a residence in the 100 block of North 23rd Street to a report of smoke in the residence. Once on the scene, fire fighters reportedly determined they were dealing with an electrical fire in the dining area of the home.
Fire fighters extinguished the blaze. They were on the scene for about 1-1/2 to two hours.
Estimated damage to the structure was about $30,000, according to the spokesperson.
No injuries were reported from the scene.
According to a post on the fire department’s Facebook page, the American Red Cross will be helping the family.
