The Sweet Springs R-7 School Board approved several items during its most-recent meeting.
According to a release from the district, the board approved the out-of-district tuition rate at $9,050 for the 2018-19 school year.
The board also accepted a quote of $5,000 from Randall C. Fiene, CPA, to conduct the district’s audit.
The board also approved amendments to close out the 2017-18 budget, including a 7-percent transfer of funds ($185,623) for capital-improvement projects, including driveway expansion, a discus area, concrete pads for the bleachers and playground expansion. Also approved was a transfer of $40,378 for transportation expenses.
The board also voted to approve the dates for the 2018-19 school year. The senior trip window is set for April 5 through 9, 2019; prom for Saturday, April 27, 2019; and graduation for Friday, May 10, 2019.
