The Higginsville Board of Aldermen are scheduled to appoint a director and alternate director to the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission during its meeting.
According to the agenda, the board also is scheduled to hear reports from various departments, as well as discuss routine items of business.
There also is a closed, executive session on the agenda for the board to discuss legal, real-estate and personnel matters.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at city hall at 1922 Main Street.

A bill regarding the need for a special election to held for a general sales tax question is scheduled to be discussed by the Carrollton Town Council.
The agenda says the council also is scheduled to discuss a special animal permit and salt bids, as well as hear questions and concerns about the Aquatic Center.

The Sedalia City Council is scheduled to discuss bids regarding IT infrastructure for the police department at its meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.
On the agenda, the council also is scheduled to discuss several public works projects including an agreement with Insituform Technologies, LLC for a cured-in-place pipe lining of sewer lines and the purchase of a truck for the street department.
