A Blackwater man was killed in a traffic accident involving lawn-mowing equipment in Cooper County on Saturday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 16-year-old Braden Grindstaff, of Blackwater, reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a lawn mower and a pedestrian, 41-year-old Chad Wolfe.
Wolfe was pronounced deceased by a doctor at 2:50 p.m. Grindstaff reportedly was not injured.
The accident happened just after 1 p.m. on Highway 41 at Imhoff Drive.
