A Carrollton teen who has been charged with a sex-related felony involving a juvenile is due in court this week.
According to a probable-cause statement, a child told authorities that 17-year-old Corbin L. Gilmer engaged in the sexual act with them around May 20, 2018. Gilmer originally denied the accusation but then reportedly told authorities in detail what had happened.
According to online court documents, Gilmer has been charged with an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy- Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less Than 12 Years Old.
Gilmer entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment on June 4. His next hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, at Carroll County Circuit Court.
