Youth Turkey Hunting Clinic Coming Up.

Hunters age 9 through 15 who want to learn about turkey hunting can register for a youth turkey hunting clinic April 3rd.  The clinic is co-sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation and Everhart's Wilderness Lodge.  It will take place from 9:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. at the lodge, which is northwest of Clinton.  The event gives youths a chance to learn from experienced turkey hunters.  Participants learn about turkey hunting rules and regulations, firearms safety, shotgun patterning, choke and shot selection, calling, scouting, decoy use and equipment.  The free clinic includes ammunition and lunch.  Registration is limited to just 40 youths.  Each youth must be accompanied by an adult sponsor.  Each adult may sponsor up to two youths.  Youths are encouraged to bring their shotguns.  For more information or to register, call Johnny and Linda Everhart, 660-885-5049.

Vicious Fishing, PVA Partnership at Bassmaster Classic a Huge Success!

A partnership between Vicious Fishing and the Paralyzed Veterans of America at the 40th Bassmaster Classic resulted in more than $1,100 donated to the PVA off shirt sales that will assist the PVA's sports and recreation programs.  Limited edition apparel featuring a stars-and-strips motif and "Vic," the Vicious Fishing Mascot, were snapped up during the Classic's 3-day outdoors expo.  More than 58,000 people attended the outdoors expo and the Vicious Fishing Booth was packed.  Sales were so brisk and interest so high, Vicious officials have extended the chance to purchase the exclusive apparel.  Short sleeve t-shirts in 3 colors are available along with long sleeve shirts and hooded sweatshirts in two colors at www.vicious-fishing.com in its online store.  A special purchase program is available for retailers interested in carrying the exclusive series to further support help PVA.  The PVA's sports and recreation programs include fishing tournaments and shooting sports events.  PVA has more than 20,000 members and assists veterans with spinal cord injuries or disease with a variety of programs, research and legislative assistance.

Congratulations to Chris Dutton and the folks at Vicious Fishing from In The Outdoors with Brad and Brian for being affiliated with such a great organization as PVA, and Brad and Brian are proud to call Vicious Fishing a sponsor and be affiliated with them.
