A Boonville teenager has been charged with two felonies for allegedly threatening to stab his stepfather with a knife on Sunday, March 10.
According to a probable-cause statement, Boonville Police officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of East Spring Street. Upon arrival, the officers noticed the house to be in disarray, with several broken items in the living room and kitchen. They also heard yelling in the kitchen and hallway. They also noted two holes in the hallway wall- and were told 19-year-old Tate Aryn Burch had kicked the wall.
An investigation revealed Burch had managed to pick up a steak knife and reportedly threatened to stab his stepfather.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued and Burch has been charged with Class E Felonies for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Burch’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
