Lois Elaine Raabe, 88, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born January 2, 1928 in Stanton, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Ruby Kenny Schultz.

On May 18, 1947, in Stanton, Nebraska, she married Dennis R. Raabe, who preceded her in death on October 29, 2012.

Lois retired from Town and Country Shoes. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she was involved in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, the Not So Old, Not So Young Bible Study and the choir.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and was an excellent cook. She had been involved with the Brown 4-H Club. She was active in the community in many ways.

Lois will be remembered as loving and compassionate. She was like an angel on earth.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Elaine (Raabe) Reinwald, of Concordia, and Peggy Sue Raabe, of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Angie, Tyler, Dana, D.J., Kris, Amanda, Gena, April and Nathan; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Ann Denney.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ross Robert and Dennis Eugene; son-in-law, George Reinwald; and two brothers, Jim Schultz and Don Schultz.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, with Pastors Chris Kellogg and Andrew Tessone officiating.

Casket bearers will be Tyler Wake, D.J. Wake, Nathan Wake, Brian Hogan, Nick Heiman, Luke Dubinick and B.J. Eilts.

Honorary bearers will be Johnnie and Sherry Swearngin, Francis and Bonnie Burks, Carl and Crystal Mittelhauser, Dorothy Poort and Paul Wilkens.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, at Heckart Funeral Home.
