An Odessa woman allegedly tired to stab a victim during a domestic dispute earlier this week, and has been charged with felonies in Lafayette County.
A probable-cause statement says on January 3, Lafayette County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of alleged domestic disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of South 3rd Street in Odessa, and arrested was 34-year-old Elizabeth Boyle.
During the arrest, deputies reportedly detected the odor of alcohol on Boyle’s person, as well as noticed her speech to be slurred. The victim stated the dispute began as he reportedly disposed of Boyle’s whiskey, where she allegedly became irate. The victim added the dispute escalated as Boyle alleged tired to stab him with a knife, but only caused two small cuts on his leg. Reportedly, Boyle refused to provide a “breathalyzer” test during the booking process.
Online court documents says Boyle has been charged with two Class E Felonies for Third-Degree Domestic Assault and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety with special conditions.
Boyle’s initial hearing at Lafayette County Circuit Court in Lexington is pending.
