Several specialists with the University of Missouri Extension are scheduled to headline the 2018 Chariton County Soils and Crop Conference on Wednesday, January 17.
According to a news release, the conference is scheduled to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Salisbury. The event is free, but lunch registrations are required.
Some of the presenters are scheduled to discuss the following matters: MU Extension State Specialist Kevin Bradley on weed management in row crops; Natural Resource Engineering Specialist Kent Shannon on updates in drone technology; U.S. Department of Agriculture Acting Area Resource Conservationist David Doctorian providing tips on crop and soil management for improved soil health; and MU Extension Nutrient Management Specialist Peter Scharf will offer information on nutrient management in row crops.
