A Henry County resident suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Pettis County on Tuesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 35-year-old Harold Newkirk, of Windsor, and a southbound vehicle, driven by 34-year-old Ryan Schlesselman, of Cole Camp, reportedly met in an uncontrolled intersection. Both vehicles reportedly came to rest off the roadway.
Newkirk, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Pettis County ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment. Schlesselman, who also reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened at about 10:45 a.m. on Brandon Road at Swisher Road.
