Two persons suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 67-year-old Martha Davis, of Kirksville, reportedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck the right front bumper of another westbound vehicle, driven by 20-year-old Kaitlynne Mauricio, of Odessa.
While Mauricio reportedly told emergency responders she would seek her own treatment of minor injuries, Davis was transported by Sni Valley E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment of moderate injuries.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. on Old 40 Highway at 2nd Street.
