A Sedalia man accused of a sex-related felony involving a juvenile is due in court on Monday, April 16.

A probable-cause statement says on June 14, 2017, a 13-year-old juvenile told a Child Safe investigator that 48-year-old Carlos Brown had kissed and touched her when she was between the ages of 7 and 9.

According to online court documents, Brown has been charged with an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree-Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less than 14 Years of Age.

Court documents also say Brown, who was indicted by a Grand Jury on August 15 and entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment hearing on September 5, is scheduled for another hearing at 1:30 p.m. at Pettis County Circuit Court in Sedalia.
