The Boonville City Council discussed the renewal of a lease agreement for heavy equipment and street closures for an event next month during a meeting on Monday, May 7.
City Administrator Irl Tessendorf said a lease agreement with Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation is up for renewal soon.

The council approved to renew the lease agreement for $8,000.
In other business, the council approved a request for street closures for the Spirits of the Katy Bridge event on June 2. The closures are scheduled from 4 to 10 p.m. on First Street, from Spring to Morgan Streets, and on Bridge Avenue, from Morgan Street to the dead end of the roadway.
