A 20-year-old Higginsville resident has been charged with a couple of felonies after he allegedly led law enforcement on a pursuit on May 11.
According to authorities, Tony Dale Wickam attempted to avoid law enforcement by speeding away in his vehicle from a patrol vehicle that was trying to make a traffic stop. In pursuit of Wickam’s vehicle, the patrol car reportedly sustained over $1,000 in damages. The police officer eventually could no longer continue the pursuit due to his vehicle shaking because of the damage it had sustained. Wickam reportedly later crashed the vehicle and was arrested on May 14.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Wickam has been charged with Class E Felonies for Resisting Arrest by Fleeing and Property Damage in the First Degree. Bond has been set at $15,000.
Wickam’s initial hearing at Lafayette County Circuit Court is pending.
