MARSHALL MAN ACCUSED OF ARMED ROBBERY HAS COURT PROCEEDING SET FOR AUGUST 13

A court proceeding involving a Marshall man who was arrested and charged with a couple of felonies for allegedly pulling off an armed robbery last year is set for Monday, August 13.

According to a release from the Marshall Police Department, a man alleged that 42-year-old Charles Dean Perkins pulled a gun on him and stole his debit card and laptop on November 30. Police reportedly recovered the laptop during Perkins’ arrest.

Online court documents say Perkins has been charged with a Class A Felony for Robbery in the First Degree and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.

Perkins pleaded not guilty on February 13, and documents say a pre-trial conference is set to be held at 1:15 p.m. at Saline County Circuit Court.

A three-day jury trial in the matter is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12.
