Two Green Ridge residents have been charged with felonies for allegedly transporting illegal drugs in Pettis County on Tuesday, August 14.
A probable-cause statement says Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a window tint violation near Route AA and Campbell Road. Deputies spoke with the driver who was later identified as 26-year-old Deseree Mosher. Mosher reportedly told the deputies her name was Jodi McCarley from the state of California and had a “fake” drivers license.
A probable-cause search of Mosher and the vehicle reportedly uncovered approximately 174.5 grams of methamphetamine. Mosher reportedly said she got the methamphetamine in Kansas City to deliver it to someone in Sedalia. After further investigation, deputies determined Mosher allegedly was transporting the meth to 29-year-old Dustin Keller. Keller reportedly told authorities he did not know Mosher and that she stole his vehicle. Reportedly, Keller did not file a stolen vehicle report to law enforcement prior to the incident.
Online court documents say Mosher and Keller each have been charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs or Attempting in the First Degree. Mosher also was charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, three driving-related misdemeanors and one identify theft misdemeanor. Cash or surety bond for Mosher was set at $200,000, with Keller’s set at $100,000.
Both are scheduled to appear for case-hearings at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
