An Odessa woman charged with multiple felonies after allegedly injuring a law-enforcement officer last year in Lafayette County, is scheduled to appear for a sentencing hearing on Monday, August 20.
Online court documents say 31-year-old Zoy Butler has been charged with a Class B Felony for Second-Degree Assault on a Special Victim; two counts of a Class D Felony for Endangering the Welfare of a Child; two counts of a Class E Felony for Resisting or Interfering with an Arrest for a Felony; a Class E Felony for First-Degree Property Damage; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action; as well as three counts of a misdemeanor for fourth-degree assault. Butler allegedly drove erratically while two children were nearby, hit a patrol car and injured a deputy in August 2017.
Butler entered a plea of not guilty during an arraignment hearing on August 3, 2017, and is scheduled to appear for the sentencing hearing at 4 p.m. at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
