Two men from Naples, Florida, each have been charged with a drug-related felony after a traffic stop in Lafayette County on Wednesday, August 29.
A probable-cause statement says a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a window-tint violation near Johnson Drive on I-70.
The trooper reportedly noticed indicators of criminal activity and requested the assistance of a K-9 officer. The K-9 reportedly detected the presence of a narcotic and a probable-cause search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 31 pounds of marijuana.
Online court documents say 38-year-old Jonathan Dix and 25-year-old Miles Bakley each have been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond for each has been set at $31,000 cash or surety.
Initial hearings for each subject is pending at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
