During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, September 13, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner gave an update on some roadwork.

In other news, Fenner said they had a meeting with the transportation committee of the Pioneer Trails Commission regarding proposed projects.

Fenner said the committee will turn its findings over to MoDOT for further review.
Also during the meeting, commissioners approved a request to hire a new deputy for the sheriff’s department in the road division. Troy S. Johnston will begin work on Monday, September 17.
