A Windsor man was killed in a head-on traffic crash involving a motorcycle in Pettis County on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as the driver of a northbound motorcycle, 52-year-old John Gursick, of Windsor, reportedly failed to negotiate a curve, which caused the motorcycle to cross the center line of the roadway and into the path of a southbound Kenworth, driven by 47-year-old Jacob Hochstetler, of Macon.
Gursick, who reportedly was ejected from the motorcycle, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 5:45 a.m. by Pettis County Coroner Robert Smith. Hochstetler reportedly refused treatment on minor injuries at the scene.
The crash occurred just before 5:30 a.m. on Route E, just south of Morgan Road.
