A Slater teen who is facing a sex-related felony charge for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile female in July is due in court next week.
According to a probable-cause statement, 18-year-old Clint Shackles is alleged to have committed some inappropriate sex-related acts sometime between 10 p.m. on July 20 and 5 a.m. on July 21 in the back yard of a residence in the 200 block of West Parker Street in Slater.
Online court documents say Shackles has been charged with a Class C Felony for Child Molestation in the Third Degree- Child Less Than 14 Years Old. Bond has been fixed at 10,000 cash only with several conditions.
Shackles appeared in custody via video and waived his preliminary hearing, and his cause was bound over to circuit court during his most-recent hearing on Wednesday, October 3. His arraignment hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, at Saline County Circuit Court.
