An area village will be the site of a festival this weekend.
According to a news release, the Arrow Rock State Historic Site will be the location for the 50th Annual Arrow Rock Heritage Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14.
The festival reportedly will feature traditional and modern handcrafted items, historic reenactments, living history presenters, musical entertainment and food vendors throughout the village.
The festival is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Weather permitting, parking will be available in the open fields just south of town. A shuttle-bus service will carry visitors to the event. There is a $2 entrance fee.
