A Sedalia man who has been charged with two counts of a sex-related felony involving a juvenile had his request for bond reduction approved by the court during a hearing on October 3.
According to online court documents, bond originally was set at $500,000 cash or surety for 54-year-old Jon Mark Wilson. It was reduced to $200,000 cash or surety during the bond-reduction hearing. The court approved the posting of surety bond on October 9.
A probable-cause statement says on September 6, 2018, a 24-year-old male alleged that Wilson sexually abused him back when he was between the ages of 10 and 12. The abuse he says included oral and anal sex on multiple occasions.
Court documents say Wilson faces two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree- Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less Than 14 Years of Age.
A motion hearing in the matter is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
