The Sedalia City Council approved a bid to build a pet-friendly walking track and set fees for additional trash carts during its meeting on Monday, October 16.
City Administrator Kelvin Shaw details a grant received which will help fund the construction of a walking track at the city’s animal shelter.

Shaw said the bid was awarded to National Playground, LLC, for the construction of the Prairie Queen Trail.
In other business, Shaw said residents were asking about purchasing extra trash or recycling carts. Shaw had some good news for those who want to recycle.

Shaw added the council decided residents would be charged $8 a month for an additional trash cart.
