During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, October 19, Clerk Debbie Russell gave an update on absentee voting.

In another matter involving voting, Russell also said she received a phone call from a person in another county clerk’s office about a voter registration from an individual.

Russell said she thinks this incident was innocent for the female, whom Russell said is in college. “But all the same, we have to notify her to let her know that she’s not going to be able to vote in her school county because she has already voted in her home county.”
Absentee voting continues during regular business hours at your county clerk’s office through 5 p.m. on Monday, November 5. In Saline County, special hours for absentee voters– including curbside voting– will be from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, according to Russell. Voters will go to the polls to cast their ballots on Tuesday, November 6.
