Saline County Northern District Commissioner Richard Clemens said an active-shooter drill was held earlier this week at the courthouse.
During the meeting of the commission on Thursday, October 18, Clemens said the sheriff’s department conducted the drill in the courtroom at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16.

Clemens said representatives from the sheriff’s department will be back to give courthouse personnel some more information.

Clemens said almost all of the elected officials were on hand to take part in the drill.
