CARROLLTON P.D. COLLECTING ITEMS FOR CARE PACKAGES FOR DEPLOYED U.S. TROOPS

The Carrollton Police Department has teamed up with Operation American Warrior LLC to accept donations for its cause.

According to a post on the police department’s Facebook page, Operation American Warrior is looking for donations for care packages that will be sent overseas to U.S. troops who are deployed.

A number of items are being requested- including personal-hygiene items: unscented wet wipes; disposable razors; Chapstick; body wash, lotion, face wash, etc.; hand sanitizer; unscented deodorants; and Q-tips;

Food: Beef Jerky and Slim Jims; hard candy; gum; protein bars; and coffee;

As well as other items such as books; chewing tobacco; laundry pods; utensils; socks (preferably black).

According to a post by the department on the thread, if you wish to donate items, they should be dropped off at the Carrollton Police Department by November 15.
