One of three men accused of multiple felonies, including kidnapping; holding two females against their will; raping and assaulting them; and demanding ransom money; is due in an area courtroom next week.
According to a probable-cause statement, members of multiple law-enforcement agencies arrived at the scene of the reported kidnapping at the Super 8 Motel in Higginsville and arrested the three men on April 26.
According to online court documents, Luis Angel Sierra-Vallina waived his preliminary hearing on October 3, and his case was bound over to circuit court. His arraignment hearing is scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 19, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
Alain Gaspar Camarillo-Linan and Jaciel Acdala Mendez-Morales also have been charged in the case. All are being held on cash-only bond– $500,000 for Mendez-Morales and Sierra-Vallina and $750,000 for Camarillo-Linan– at the Lafayette County Jail.
Each defendant entered a plea of not guilty on April 30.
