Eight of the 10 Saline County elected officials took the “Oath of Office” during a formal ceremony on Friday, December 28, at the courthouse in Marshall.
During the open session of the county commission on Thursday, January 3, the remaining two office holders who won reelection in November were sworn in by Clerk Debbie Russell.
Taking the “Oath of Office” were Auditor Tara Vogelsmeier and Collector Cindi Sims.
Sworn in during the formal ceremony on December 28 were: Presiding Judge, Dennis Rolf; Associate Circuit Judge- Division 5, Hugh Harvey; Associate Circuit Judge- Division 6, Page Bellamy; Prosecuting Attorney, Tim Thompson; Presiding Commissioner, Kile Guthrey Jr.; Clerk of the Circuit Court, Becky Tebbenkamp Uhlich; Recorder of Deeds, Jamie Franklin Nichols; and Russell.
Sims’ new term actually starts on March 1. The new terms for all of the others began on January 1.
