A Lincoln resident suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Pettis County on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Rigoberto Sapon, of Blythesville, Arkansas, reportedly was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the roadway and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by 75-year-old Sharon Rimel.
While Sapon reportedly was not injured, Rimel reportedly refused treatment at the scene.
The crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 65 at Sacajawea Road.
Update: According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report, Sapon was arrested at the scene and transported to the Pettis County Jail for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, careless-and-imprudent driving involving a crash and no driver’s license.
