Area residents can participate in a free class designed to enhance a persons’ storm spotting skills later this month in Cooper County.
According to a news release, the Cooper County Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service is hosting Storm Spotter Training which is designed for those who are interest in weather, want to learn how to read clouds and be prepared for severe weather situations. The program is open to the public, as well as first responders.
The Storm Spotter Training class is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Cooper County Fire Station 1 at 16994 Highway 87 in Boonville on Wednesday, February 20.
