A South Bridge, Mo., resident suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash involving two vehicles in Saline County on Wednesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 55-year-old Sean O’Connell, of Newburgh, Indiana, reportedly began sliding on the ice-covered roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an unoccupied vehicle.
While O’Connell reportedly was not injured, a passenger in his vehicle- 22-year-old Melissa Baez-Guiliani- was transported by Sweet Springs E.M.S. to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.
The crash happened just before 12:45 a.m. at the 77 mile marker on I-70.
