A homeless man charged with a felony for allegedly entering a residence and eating the victim’s food last month in Sedalia is scheduled to appear for a court proceeding later this month.
A probable cause statement says Sedalia Police officers responded to a reported trespassing incident at a residence in the 2200 block of West 1st Street on January 22.
Reportedly, 27-year-old Kaleb Krumroy was trespassing at the residence and had to be put into a full-body restraint jacket due his combative nature in which he allegedly shoved an officer and resisted handcuffs.
The victims stated Krumroy was not allowed at the residence, but entered the home uninvited and began to eat food without permission. The victims added Krumroy was warned multiple times to leave before the authorities would be called.
Online court documents say Krumroy has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree and misdemeanors for resisting arrest and assault. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Krumroy is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
