A 52-year-old Marshall man has been charged with a felony and appeared in court recently for an alleged domestic assault incident earlier this week in Saline County.
A probable cause statement says a female victim spoke with Marshall Police officers about allegedly being recently assaulted by Allan Troy Harris on Tuesday, March 12. The victim stated Harris allegedly grabbed her by the shirt and began to strangle her by placing his forearm across her throat during an altercation. Officers noticed the victim had visible injuries to her neck and chest area. Officers then spoke to Harris who reportedly refused to provide a written statement, but verbally stated the bruises on the victim were from a different altercation with him.
Harris has been charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree with bond set at $7,500 cash only.
Harris appeared in custody and was formally arraigned on Wednesday, March 13, and his cause has been continued with a counsel-status hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, at Saline County Circuity Court.
