A Blue Springs man was seriously injured Saturday night after crashing his vehicle in Johnson county, while fleeing from authorities in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, 44-year-old Dana Jones totaled his 2003 Chevrolet while fleeing from Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies. According to the report, while traveling northbound on Highway 23, Jones’ vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and came to rest on its top, facing west. Jones was transported to Regional Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2019 on Highway 23 at northeast 900 RD in Johnson County.
