A 55-year-old La Monte man who was charged in December of last year (2018), with sex-related felonies involving a juvenile in Saline County is due in court this week.
A probable-cause statement says Tommy Joe Hotsenpiller is alleged to have inappropriately touched a juvenile female on the night of November 30th, 2018. During a forensic interview, the juvenile said the incident occurred at Hotsenpiller’s vehicle in the parking lot of Marshall High School. Hotsenpiller was a teacher in the Marshall Public School system who reportedly was terminated in October 2018 and allegedly was trespassing during the incident.
Online court documents say he is facing a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree; a Class E Felony for Sexual Contact with a Student; and a misdemeanor for trespassing.
Hotsenpiller is currently out on bond and is scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Saline County Circuit Court.
