A Glasgow resident has been charged with multiple felonies after authorities say he was the driver of a stolen vehicle on March 19 in Cooper County.
A probable-cause statement says 33-year-old Daniel Ray Hylton was identified through surveillance video at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville. The vehicle had been reported as stolen from Columbia. Authorities also say they found a pipe containing white residue- which tested positively to be methamphetamine- and digital scales inside the vehicle. Hylton also reportedly had a small quantity of methamphetamine on his person when he was booked at the Cooper County Jail.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been served and Hylton has been charged with Class D Felonies for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance at a County Jail; as well as a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Hylton’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
