A Sedalia man has been charged with a felony for allegedly shooting a firearm from a moving vehicle in the 300 block of West 13th Street in Sedalia on May 16.
According to a probable-cause statement, a person on the scene told authorities a couple in the 1300 block of South Moniteau had been in an argument, and the man got into a minivan and started driving around. The person also said the subject was speeding down the road, and he and a friend told him to slow down. He said the subject in the vehicle said something back, and then he stuck his arm out the window and fired a gun into the air three to five times. Authorities identified the suspect as 36-year-old Anthony B. Johnson.
Online court documents say Johnson has been charged with a Class B Felony for Shooting from a Vehicle. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Johnson was arraigned on Tuesday, May 21; and his counsel-status hearing is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28.
