A Boonville man was seriously injured after being thrown off an ATV while traveling on a roadway in Cooper County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a southbound Kawasaki KFX 450, driven by 27-year-old Cole Wise, reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway, which caused Wise to overcorrect, and the ATV overturned ejecting the driver.
Wise, who reportedly was not wearing a safety device, was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.
The accident happened before 10 a.m. on Billingsville Road, one-half mile south of Route B.
