Volunteers have been requested to help sandbag and haul sandbags in the Missouri River Bottoms near Miami.
According to a spokesperson, to get to the site, volunteers from the Marshall area need to take Missouri Highway 41 north to Route F; then turn right and go about a mile. From Slater, take Route O north of Slater and turn left (west) on Route F and travel about eight miles.
The site is near some grain bins; and there will be a sand pile and pickup trucks.
