A Wellington woman sustained minor injuries in a traffic accident involving wildlife in Jackson County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Shelby Flaybaugh, reportedly struck a deer in the roadway.
Flaybaugh reportedly was transported by Sni Valley E.M.S. to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment.
The accident happened just before 6:30 a.m. at the 28.6 mile marker on I-70.
