WARRENSBURG TEEN SUFFERS MODERATE INJURIES IN TWO-VEHICLE TRAFFIC CRASH IN JOHNSON COUNTY

A Warrensburg teen suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Johnson County on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as each vehicle- an eastbound vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Jonathan Davis, of Centerview, and a westbound freightliner, driven by 33-year-old Tyler Oden, of Richmond- met on a hillcrest. Each driver reportedly applied his vehicle’s brakes, and the vehicles began sliding on the gravel road. Ultimately, the front left of Davis’ vehicle struck the front left of the freightliner.

While neither driver reportedly suffered injuries, a passenger in Davis’ vehicle- 17-year-old William Holzhauser- was transported by private vehicle to Lee’s Summit Hospital for treatment.

The crash happened at 12:40 p.m. on County Road 675, east of County Road 871.
